I visited this facility
We visited Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. It was all very nice and very well updated, but it was way over budget. It was like $4000 for what you got. But the facilities were very nice, but I didn't think that you got what you paid for there. The base price for the rent was way over budget and then it would be a plus level of care pricing, too. It was just going to be so far out of our budget that it was just not doable. The guy that gave us the tour was courteous and professional, but I don't think he was as knowledgeable as some of the other ones. They had amazing amenities. I think they put a lot into bells and whistles as far as chandeliers and crown molding and some of these things that made it look really pretty, but just because it looks good doesn't necessarily mean you're getting a better quality for your money. It was beautiful and very well maintained. There was a higher quality of finishes there than what it was for any of the other ones.

I visited Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. They have a new building that's separate from the assisted living and there were only three people in it the day I looked. They have to go over to the main building for all the activities and stuff. It has the memory care as well. They have everything there including a gym and a fitness center with machines. It has the feel of an Italian. They have a big area where every Friday night they make pizzas in the oven that they have right there. You sit out there to see them cooking and all. It's a gathering place on Friday night for people. I only really met the gal that took us around, and then just waved to people that we went by. It's topnotch. It's expensive, but it's brand new, and large. The outdoor was very nice. They have a garden, a little putting green, and an area for sitting out there.

Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast was extremely nice. They seemed to be very caring staff members. The food was very good. We had lunch there once. They take people to their doctor's appointments, shopping, and outings. They have activity rooms. It was a beautiful place. If I could afford to be there, I'd be there too. The staff is very attentive, very helpful, full of information, and caring. The facility was beautiful. They have a patio and gazebo. It's kind of almost enclosed. It has a beautiful wooded area behind there and a walking path.

We like the Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast the best. Kimberly, who took us around, was very nice and professional. We like the concept of the Tuscan Italian theme, and my in-law happens to be 100 percent Italian. We loved the choice of room layouts, configurations, and just the overall facility, as well as the outdoor facilities. They have a bocce court, as well as a dog park. It's just a very nice place with very nice rooms. It's very clean and has a nice menu of food. Overall, we like the feel of it.

My father will be moving into Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast. It's a newer facility, and it has every amenity that anyone with his limitations and expectations can meet. They've got a very flexible dining plan, which most places don't have. They can eat from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., not just that one hour window, or if they miss it, they're out for the day kind of thing. They have very spacious and very well planned out rooms. Probably one of the bigger things compared to other facilities I visited is that they're very, very transparent with their pricing, and the modeling, and how everything works. They've got the salon/barbershop, followed by the movie theater, followed by the chapel, followed by the mail room, followed by the fitness center, followed by the physical therapy center that they have there as well. They've got a putting green and bocce ball on the outside with music. They have regular outside entertainment that comes in for the folks. Their activities director also takes them at least weekly on a tour some place in their bus, whether it is to the beach or to a museum or something like that. They're very, very engaged with the residents. The facility is gorgeous.
